Excitement among fans has increased considerably since they heard about the mega series being made on the famous political thriller of 1975, written by Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins. Recently, a few first-look images were released, which made waves as the actors playing these iconic people from history looked exactly like them. Arif Zakaria is playing Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and Ira Dubey is Fatima Jinnah in the series.
Now, another set of actors has been finalized, making the series look bigger and bigger. Famous RJ Malishka will be seen playing the “Nightingale of India,” Sarojini Naidu. Other actors in the series include Rajesh Kumar and KC Shankar, who will play Liaquat Ali Khan and VP Menon, respectively.
There is no doubt that the series is going to be one of a kind. It’s a Sony Liv project, which adds more trust to the show as this platform is known for producing iconic shows like *Scam 1992* and *Rocket Boys*. *Freedom at Midnight* is said to be the biggest show produced by Sony Liv to date.
Directed by Nikhil Advani, the episodes are written by Abhinandan Gupta, Adwitiya Kareng Das, Gundeep Kaur, Divya Nidhi Sharma, Revanta Sarabhai, and Ethan Taylor. The show will release on Sony Liv. Stay tuned to M9 for further updates.
