“Stree” in 2018 set a benchmark for horror comedies. The movie was exceptional in every aspect, with a perfect blend of fun and horror. It went on to become a huge hit, even with little promotion, and became a cult classic in this genre. “Stree” led to the production of other horror comedies like “Roohi” and “Bhediya,” which are merging together to form a cinematic universe. An interesting snippet dropped from Maddock Films, the production house behind these movies.
The 1 minute 15 second video shows a full big-eyed CGI character, resembling a fusion of an alien and a monkey with no tail. The character is seen jumping high from one building to another. Inside a house, we see the popular song “Munni Badnaam” from “Dabangg” being played, which somehow triggers the character, and he attacks those who were playing the song.
The video ends with a trigger warning to all the Munnis out there as now arrives Munjya. On one hand, people are loving the CGI used in the scene, which looks authentic, while on the other hand, some are labeling this as a cheap copy of Gollum from “Lord of the Rings.” We are not sure if this movie will be a part of the Stree universe.
