Abhishek Banerjee’s upcoming movie ‘Stolen’ will have a direct-to-OTT release and it will be coming out on Prime Video on the 4th of June.
Before this one, Prime Video had released the film ‘The Mehta Boys’ which acquired a good name amongst fans. But will Stolen be as good as The Mehta Boys?
Similar to The Mehta Boys, Stolen also is a directorial debut. It is directed by Karan Tejpal and is backed by people like Anurag Kashyap, Kiran Rao, Nikhil Advani and Vikramaditya Motwane, which builds a little bit of trust on the film.
The film has also had a remarkable festival success in the 2023 Venice film festival and also got the awards for Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Actress awards in the Beijing Festival. The story looks promising from whatever is disclosed.
And looks like after multiple weak originals, Prime Video will have a solid comeback with Stolen. Abhishek Banerjee has become a household name after his projects like ‘Pataal Lok’ and ‘Stree’ and his performance needs not be challenged.
Moreover, the genre of the film is thriller and there is a possibility of the movie doing even better than Mehta Boys.
