
Akshay Kumar seems to be quite busy this year with a lots of projects in the pipeline. Meanwhile, OMG 2 director Amit Rai has now reportedly approached Akshay for OMG 3 and discussed the plot points with the actor.

The duo has also decided that the third installment of the franchise will go on floors in 2026. But will it be worth it?
While OMG (first part) was able to win the hearts of the audiences with its unique storyline and stellar performance, the same could be said for OMG 2.

The film starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam had a generic plotline and could have done without the god angle.
The whole story about a troubled teenager and the allegations against him had nothing to do with God coming in between and helping his family.

Many people believe that the entire lord Shiva angle added to OMG 2 was completely baseless. Now that the makers are thinking about a third installment, either they should concentrate on a strong narrative or lose it completely.
Considering that Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva were included as a part of the storyline for the first two films, there are multiple speculations on which God would appear next in the upcoming sequel. It could be Lord Rama or someone else.
Inclusion of religious characters have always created trouble for films over the years. Notably, CBFC ordered multiple modifications for OMG 2 to avoid any kind of controversy alongside giving it an A certificate.
While makers have not disclosed anything about their plans for the third film, let’s wait and see if it will get an easy release or it will get involved in some trouble.
