Raid 2 Bans Tuesday 99 Offer! Risky or Smart?

Raid 2 Cancels Tuesday 99 Offer

Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 was released into the theatres on May 1, 2025, and has received mixed to positive reviews from the audience. The film had an impressive start, with a collection of Rs. 19.71 crore.

The film, which is a sequel to the crime drama of the same name from 2018, held very well on the second day, and is all set to collect around Rs. 70 crores in its four-day weekend.

This has led the distributors of Raid 2 to send a special request to exhibitors throughout the country. They have reportedly asked the exhibitors not to reduce the ticket prices of the film. Secondly, they were asked not to run any special ticket offers during the weekdays of the first week.

This means that the Tuesday 99 offer, which was recently launched for theatrical releases, will be exempted for Raid 2. Similar discounts like Women Wednesday or any special offer for school and college kids may also not be enforced for the film.

For the unversed, it was PVR Inox that launched the Tuesday offer from April 8 this year. As a part of this scheme, PVR and Inox sell movie tickets for normal seats at discounted prices of just Rs. 99 and Rs. 149.

The cheaper prices of the tickets led to slightly higher collections on Tuesdays for films like Kesari Chapter 2 and Jaat.

As for Raid 2, while the audience is praising the stellar performances of Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, and more, a few of them are unhappy with the predictable storyline and monotonous screenplay.
