The Telugu film market has shown good support for dubbed films in 2026. Several Tamil and even some Hindi films have managed to attract Telugu audiences and earn decent collections, proving that language is no longer a major barrier when a film connects with viewers.
Films like Karuppu, Vishwanath and Sons, Mandaadi, Jailer 2, Ramayana and Scene have reached Telugu audiences this year. Rajinikanth’s film has reportedly collected over Rs. 90 crores gross in the Telugu states alone. Suriya has also found decent support, with three of his films receiving a good response from Telugu audiences.
Interestingly, Vishwanath and Sons received a better response in Telugu than in its home market of Tamil Nadu. This shows how Telugu audiences are supporting dubbed films, sometimes even better than audiences in their original markets.
Ramayana and Suriya’s Scene also have the potential to add notable collections in the long run. Their final box-office numbers will depend on how well they hold in the coming weeks.
The trend is not limited to Tamil cinema. Hollywood films have also enjoyed a strong run in the Telugu states in 2026. Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey have attracted audiences and delivered big collections.
There is more to look forward to as well. Dhanush’s upcoming OM Chapter 1 has generated interest, while December releases like Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three are carrying huge expectations.
It would be no surprise if dubbed films’ collections turn out to be comparable to those of original Telugu films in the final tally this year.
The growing response to dubbed films and Hollywood releases shows that Telugu audiences are increasingly open to watching content from different film industries. For exhibitors, this also means more opportunities beyond regular Telugu releases.
