Aneet Padda, who became an overnight sensation with her debut film Saiyaara, is set to start shooting for her upcoming project Shakti Shalini once she finishes her college exams in December and January.
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara turned out to be one of 2025’s biggest hits. The romantic musical drama grossed around Rs. 570 crore worldwide, becoming the second-highest-grossing Indian film of the year.
The film also set several milestones, emerging as the highest-grossing love story in Indian cinema and the most successful film featuring debutants Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday.
Despite her rapid success, Aneet continues to prioritise her education. She is pursuing a B.A. (Honours) in Political Science while managing her acting career. Her Shakti Shalini shooting schedule has been carefully planned to align with her academic commitments.
Produced under the Madock Horror Comedy Universe and directed by Dinesh Vijan, Shakti Shalini marks a major step forward for Aneet. She signed the film at just 22, making her one of the youngest actresses to headline a franchise film.
The film is slated for a grand release on December 24, 2026. The Christmas holiday slot highlights the confidence producers have in Aneet’s growing star power and the film’s strong commercial potential.
