The industry is asking: did Jawan really elevated Atlee’s market or was it just SRK’s magic?

Atlee had planned a 500 crore film with Salman Khan with Kamal Haasan or even Will Smith.

The project got cancelled due to budget concerns. Then he went to Allu Arjun but that too is stuck both are demanding big fees making it unviable.

Atlee’s 80-100 crore fee is too much for a director who hasn’t delivered a hit without a superstar.

Jawan had a 300 crore budget, a risk SRK personally took during the boycott wave in Bollywood.

Now without a similar superstar to vouch for him, Atlee is finding it tough to get that kind of funding.

His involvement in Baby John which bombed with 100+ crore losses has only reduced producer confidence.

His brand of filmmaking thrives on big money but producers are not willing to invest blindly anymore.

Atlee may think he is one of the top directors in India but the industry doesn’t see it that way.

Jawan was an SRK phenomenon and Atlee hasn’t proven yet that he can repeat that success without a superstar.

His struggle to get a project is a proof that his market isn’t as strong as he thinks.

Atlee needs to either reduce his fee, scale down his budget or get a superstar who justifies the investment.

Otherwise he will stall his career just when it should be soaring. The industry is watching but one thing is clear: Jawan’s success is not enough to guarantee Atlee’s future.
