Atul Subhash Case Triggers Bold Film on 498A

The Verdict 498A Film

After making films like ‘Dream Girl’, ‘Dream Girl 2’, and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, writer-producer Raaj Shaandilyaa has decided to enter a new space, with the announcement of ‘The Verdict 498A’.

Depicting the life of Deeptanshu Shukla, an engineer-turned-advocate, the film will showcase his fight against the law, often tilted unfairly in the favour of women.

Many on social media couldn’t help but wonder if the film’s concept was inspired by the recent Atul Subhash case.

Atul Subhash was the victim of the same controversial Section 498A, owing to which his wife accused him and his family of several false cases.

With Anindya Bikas Datta in the director’s chair, the film is expected to highlight the issues faced by Indian men due to this unfair law, often leading to a lot of them ending their own lives out of helplessness.

With the film being made on such a burning issue, it will be interesting to see if the makers can live up to the expectations, creating the required impacts at just the right time to create a masterpiece, thus making a platform for many silent male voices across the nation.
