Fans of the 2006 comedic masterpiece ‘Bhagam Bhag’ have been filled with excitement ever since the announcement of its sequel, ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’.
The sequel gives the fans a reason to celebrate as the iconic trio of Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal reunite to recreate its predecessor’s magic.
Producer Sarita Ashwin Varde has been working together with ‘Shemaroo Entertainment’ on the project and has promised that the sequel would be ‘madder, crazier, and funnier’ than the first.
The film has become a cult classic over the years due to its slapstick humour and chaotic storytelling.
The rights to the film were acquired by ‘Roaring River Productions’, with producer Sarita Ashwin Varde emphasizing the need for a sequel to honour the original’s legacy.
Social media has been filled with comments by fans expressing their views. One user said, “Finally, a sequel worth waiting for! Akshay and Govinda together again? Count me in!”
Another couldn’t control his excitement as he commented, “This is nostalgia on steroids. Can’t wait to see these legends back on screen.”
Some users were also concerned whether the sequel would be able to carry the legacy of the original, stressing the fact that it has got large shoes to fill.
The film is expected to go into production in mid-2025, with the release scheduled for 2026.
