Bhool Chuk Maaf was all set to release in theatres on May 9 but makers have taken a drastic decision at the eleventh hour. The film will no longer release in theatres and will come directly on OTT Amazon Prime Video on 16 May but fans feel that the reason given by them is just an excuse.
In the official statement they said that they are concerned about the state of crisis amidst the India and Pakistan conflict. They shared that the nation is most important to them and thus they have decided to switch to OTT.

However, fans were quick to point out that Maddock Films couldn’t create 10% of the hype that was during Stree 2.
Even the theatre owners showed their outrage as the screening was cancelled last moment, they have to bear the huge loss while the makers make quick money by selling the film to OTT.
Despite a unique plot and claims of a heartfelt comedy by Rajkumar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi the film couldn’t attract audiences in pre-bookings.

They took a jibe at the makers for being pretentious with their patriotism when in fact they wanted to hide their marketing failure. Even the prospects with OTT release don’t seem much high and it would be put to test on 16 May.
