As box office figures become a constant parameter for a film’s verdict, fans are weighing more on these box office figures rather than reviewing the film’s overall content and story.

The job of trade analysts and box office reporters is being done by the normal public as users are usually weighing films based on their box office collections and pre-booking sales.

The content of the film is the most powerful selling point which attracts more viewers but as it seems, people are reviewing the film based on the box office numbers which further attract more audiences.

Given this new obsession with box office numbers and figures, filmmakers are trying to fool the audiences with fake box office numbers with block bookings to increase the film’s overall ratings and reviews becoming a powerful phenomenon at the box office.

Several users are claiming that things have changed in Indian cinema as numbers are becoming more important rather than the content of the film.

Taking the example of Sky Force, the film was declared as a blockbuster at the box office earning over 100 crores at the box office. Many users claimed the number to be fake and called out the makers to increase the hype of the film.

While the film itself was decent and had mediocre performances, however many claimed the numbers to be fake and untrue.

Though box office numbers are crucial for a film’s success and prove that the film has been highly liked by the audiences, it is essential to realize that a balance should be maintained between the box office numbers and the content the film delivers.

As several huge films are lined up for release ahead, people need to balance their rating proportions based on content and box office numbers rather than only focusing on the box office figures hence reducing the current craze of sticking to figures and numbers of a film rather than its original content.
