The unexpected failures of ‘Jigra’ and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Wo Wala Video’ at the Box Office seem to have worked magically in favour of Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part 1, as it continues to leave an impression wach day at the Box Office.
Directed by Koratala Siva and starring Jr. NTR, the film has made a commendable gross collection of ₹295 Cr. in two weeks at the Indian BO, with a share of ₹160 Cr., going by trade reports.

It seems that Devara has come forward to fill the vacuum created by the massive failures of both films in the Hindi states.
With ‘Jigra struggling to find an audience on one side, and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Wo Wala Video’ failing to leave an impact due to poor word of mouth, Devara has breezed past both with ease to inch much closer to the 400 Cr. magical mark.

While the commendable performance of Devara: Part 1 in Hindi states can be attributed to the vacuum left by the failure of both films, the story takes a different turn in the South.
Going by trade websites, Devara is already a massive blockbuster in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and owing to its strong performance in Karnataka and modest collections in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, the film is set to cross ₹325 Cr. domestically, with a much higher chance of crossing ₹400 Cr, mark globally.
