Dhurandhar in Trouble: Now Pakistan Joins Legal Fight?

Dhurandhar movie legal trouble update

Dhurandhar is now facing fresh legal trouble just days before its December 5 release. The widow of Pakistani police officer Chaudhry Aslam warned that she will take legal action if the film shows her late husband in a wrong way.

This pressure comes soon after Major Mohit Sharma’s family approached the Delhi High Court seeking a stay. The makers now face objections from both India and Pakistan at the same time.

Reports say Sanjay Dutt and Ranveer Singh play Major Mohit and Officer Chaudhry in the film. The story is based on counterterrorism operations carried out in Kashmir and Karachi, raising questions on how closely it resembles real events.

Chaudhry Aslam was known for his battles against crime and terrorism in Karachi. He died in a bomb attack on the Lyari Expressway in 2014. His wife Naureen says she will watch the film first, then decide on legal action.

She already objected to a trailer dialogue calling her husband the child of the devil and a jinn. She says this insults not only him but his family. She warned that she will act legally if the film uses her husband’s story for propaganda.

Major Mohit’s family also complained that the makers did not take permission to adapt real life missions into fiction. With these objections growing, the release plan now looks uncertain.

The producers hoped to bring a gripping story to theatres, but the legal battle has become a major challenge. Everyone is waiting to see if Dhurandhar will release on time or face more hurdles.
