Everyone knows the bond Karan Johar shares with Alia Bhatt. She made a debut in the industry with his film Student of the Year, and ever since that they have worked on so many films together.
Their collaboration often becomes a pain for the directors who don’t wish to cast Alia Bhatt in the lead role. Karan’s bias towards the Raazi star gives her an undue advantage in films of Dharma Productions.

Jigra director Vasan Bala who is known for his unique projects also faced something similar. His creativity brings a special style of cinema and we are expected to witness Alia Bhatt in a never seen before avatar in his next film.
Vasan Bala has worked on films like Gangs Of Wasseypur, Monica O My Darling, and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. Now he is all set to bring Jigra starring Alia Bhatt in lead role on 11 October. It also has Vedang Raina in the role of her brother whom she rescues.

Vasan Bala recently revealed that during the initial stages of Jigra pre-production, Karan Johar shared his semi-cooked script to Alia Bhatt without asking him. He even said that he had some other actress in his mind for the lead role but Karan convinced him to take Alia Bhatt!
If the project fails to meet expectations can this be blamed on Karan’s partiality towards Alia Bhatt?
