Unexpected Organic Bookings: Bigger Than Stars

Badass Ravi Kumar, which has been creating headlines for some time, is finally releasing in theatres this Friday. Directed by Keith Gomes, the film is going to bring back the era of the ‘80s with a lot of entertaining elements for the audience.

Insiders have stated that the film is expected to take a big opening at the box office and they have estimated that it might gross somewhere between Rs. 5.50 crores to Rs. 7.50 crores on the first day. Moreover, the collection is supposed to be almost Rs. 8 crores with on spot bookings.

Considering the first-day numbers, it will easily touch the mark of Rs. 20 crores on the first weekend, which means that the film will recover more than what the makers are expecting right now.

The best thing about the advance booking reports is that all of these are happening without any promotion or other efforts. People have simply watched the trailer, they have given a positive response, and now they are excited to watch it on the big screen.

Another thing that will contribute to the film’s success is the low ticket prices. The distributors of Badass Ravi Kumar and Loveyapa have requested the theatres around India to fix the rates between Rs. 99 and Rs. 150 and to not increase the rates for a week.

As per the latest update, around 10,000 tickets have been sold at PVRInox and Cinepolis until February 5, 7 p.m. The final number is expected to be 45,000 in the national theatre chains.

While big films have been failing in the last few months, the current reports are hinting that Badass Ravi Kumar might emerge as the first blockbuster of this year. On the other hand, there are many films releasing in the upcoming weeks and there is a possibility that the response to Badass Ravi Kumar might affect the collections of those films.
