
The movie business at the box office was supposed to be really exciting in the month of June. Housefull 5 is supposed to release on 6 June and Sitaare Zameen Par on 20 June but the India-Pakistan tensions have made this an uncertain prospect.
Bhool Chuk Maaf by Maddock Films had a similar fate where it had to be shifted to OTT claiming that the tensions at the borders are getting serious. Even Raid 2 released this month although performing well couldn’t take advantage of a lack of competition from this OTT shift.

It earned 95 crore rupees in the opening weekend which only increased to 100 crore rupees ever since the tensions escalated on the border. Now it is expected to earn around 120-130 crores.
Even if things are peaceful once again soon a lot of time that could be used in promotions will be lost. Makers should understand that if a film is not marketed well people will not be aware of its release and their purpose would be wasted.

At this time if both Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan starrer is postponed and given time to market it would be beneficial for their box office. National circumstances are more important currently and being desperate for a release doesn’t seem wise.
