Vijay Deverakonda’s latest film, Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, has ended its North America run with just $917K.
Considering the film’s scale, cast and promotional effort, this is a very poor finish.
Theater subscription passes were active across all chains from the premieres itself, which is unusual for a film featuring a known star like Vijay. Even with that access, Ranabaali could not reach the $1 million mark. Crossing that $1M milestone would hardly have changed its box-office verdict, but falling short shows how weak the response was.
The Hindi version collected less than $4K.
Hindi version had a delayed release in select theaters, but the number $4K is still negligible, especially after Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna spent considerable time promoting the film through Hindi interviews. That push made little impact in this market.
The U.S. contributed around $858K, while Canada brought in roughly $51K.
After his recent disappointing results, Ranabaali adds another failure to Vijay Deverakonda’s record in the crucial North America market.
