Ajay Devgn’s recently released Raid 2 has been making headlines at the box office which was surprising given the expectations for the film.
It opened with around 20 crores at the box office and having a long weekend helped it to have a great first weekend till now.

The film collected around 12 crores on Friday but then showed immense growth on Saturday by collecting 18 crores at the box office.
Trade analysts have predicted the film to earn over 20 crores on its first Sunday taking the first weekend collection over 70 crores.

The film might cross the 90 crores mark if it maintains steady collections of around 6-7 crores from Monday. Given the current trend, the film might have a lifetime collection of around 130-140 crores making it a solid hit.
This shows how viewers are interested in watching newer concepts from Bollywood. Films like Kesari Chapter 2 and Jaat have also performed well in recent months which shows that the box office has been kind to the Hindi film industry.

While Salman Khan had a tough luck with Sikandar, that doesn’t seem to be the case for Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 which is rocketing in terms of box office collection.
Only time will tell how these numbers will turn out to be in the upcoming weeks.
