In a recent press meet for his upcoming release Vedaa, John met an unexpected question and he called the press member an idiot! Vedaa is the directorial venture of Nikhil Advani and has stars like John Abraham, Sharvari, Abhishek Banerjee, and Tamannaah Bhatia. After coming up in the news for its CBFC certificate delay the film has finally got a green signal. The film will be released this Independence Day.
It is an action packed thriller with a touch of patriotism, a genre of film heavily associated with John Abraham who has been seen in Satyamev Jayate, Pathaan, Batla House, Force, Parmanu and many similar projects. One of the press members highlighted this fact and questioned John Abraham for his repetitive roles. John seemed deeply agitated by the question and said that he focuses on giving intense performances but his roles are not alike. He lightheartedly suggested that if the press member had the same opinion after watching the film he would tear him apart.

However, the truth of the question cannot be denied. John Abraham has made his name as an action hero. Just like Vedaa, many of his earlier projects have also been released on Independence Day and focused on patriotic themes that deal with systematic flaws in our countries. It is highly likely that fans expect some versatility from him now and cannot watch him in similar roles all the time. The storyline and performances in Vedaa will reveal the truth of John’s claim only after 15 August.
