Ibrahim Ali Khan’s debut film Nadaaniyan, which came out on Netflix, has invited broad criticism, and people are now doubting his acting skills.

The romantic comedy, in which Ibrahim is featured along with Khushi Kapoor, was meant to be a light-hearted entertainer but didn’t impress anyone. Footage from the movie went viral for the wrong reasons as people trolled Ibrahim’s performance and called it “gandi acting.”.

Receiving the backlash, Ibrahim confessed during an interview that he would give himself 3-3.5 stars for his performance and admitted there was room for improvement.

Although he stood by the film as a light-hearted one for watch-at-leisure purposes, social media’s tough criticism has raised doubts about his status as a good actor.

Among all this controversy, hopes are invested in Ibrahim’s future projects, especially Sarzameen, where he features alongside Bollywood superstar Kajol and South giant Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Working with Prithviraj has been “life-changing” to Ibrahim, according to whom, he is big fan of the South industry and wishes to get more opportunities in the industry as well. Produced by Kayoze Irani, Sarzameen is an action thriller focused on Kashmir terrorism, and details about Ibrahim’s role are yet to be released.
