Akshay Kumar Look Kannappa

Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa has been creating headlines for the hype it has created in terms of visuals and storyline. The teaser is out now after a long wait and as promised, it has a lineup of big stars and some amazing action sequences.

But the one particular thing audiences were looking out for was Akshay Kumar, who was confirmed to do a cameo as Lord Shiva a long time ago. The teaser featured a look of Akshay sitting alongside Kajal Aggarwal, who plays Parvati.

However, the first glimpse has left the fans disappointed and there are many reasons for that. It’s not that Akshay doing a cameo is not being liked by everyone. It is the look of Akshay that has not received a positive response since it is not up to the mark as per expectations.

Akshay has done a similar role around two years ago in OMG 2. But director Amit Rai ensured to keep it authentic. Coming to Kannappa, it does not look like Akshay has done the role by himself and it seems like his face was pasted into the face of another person.

On the other hand, there is a possibility that the look might lead to some controversy since Shiva’s character does not have a snake in his neck. For now, no issues have emerged so far due to Akshay’s look.

Although Kannappa is also getting released in Hindi, there are a few possibilities that audiences would turn up to watch it on the big screen.

Akshay is not doing a big role, so there is no chance that people would buy tickets for him and the others playing the lead roles are not popular faces among the North Indian viewers.

The teaser has created hype only for Prabhas instead of Akshay. Prabhas has been known among Hindi audiences since Baahubali. But even with Prabhas in a cameo, no one would be interested in visiting the theatres.

Although Kannappa is expected to do some amazing business in Telugu states, the chances of its survival in North India are equal to zero for now.
