Kartik Aaryan’s No to Big Sequel: Right or Wrong?

Kartik Aaryan No To Mujhse Shaadi Karogi 2

The reports of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi 2 have been making the rounds on the internet for some time. While there were rumors of Kartik Aaryan being cast for an important role, a source has now denied the same.

The insider mentioned that Kartik has a few more films in the upcoming lineup, and he is planning to complete them as soon as possible. Notably, the actor himself is yet to respond to the rumors of his casting in the film, which is a sequel to Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, released back in 2004.

Kartik Aaryan has witnessed a huge growth in his career over the years. A few of his films have managed to collect more than Rs. 150 crores at the box office, and his last film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, also grossed Rs. 420 crores, despite clashing with Singham Again.

Kartik is undoubtedly leaving an impact at the box office, and the numbers are also higher than the ones recorded by stars like Salman Khan or Akshay Kumar.

Considering that his solo films are doing almost Rs. 250 crores with entertaining content, his decision not to be a part of any multi-starrer film is correct for him in his way.

On the other hand, Bollywood is not going through a good phase right now. The situation was bad in 2024, and it is worse in 2025. Considering the current condition, Kartik can consider doing a multi-starrer only if the script and character are up to the mark.

Two big stars appearing together in a film can always pull audiences. The best example is RRR. Bollywood should now focus on such films with original scripts instead of remakes and films with mindless action and no story.
