Katrina Kaif has been away from the big screen for a long time and many are waiting for her comeback. The actress got married to Vicky Kaushal and also had a child with him. It seems like she took some time off to focus on her married life before coming back to work again.
Now, the latest that we know is that Katriana Kaif is all set to make her comeback with the sequel of Maa, featuring Kajol. The horror film was released in 2025 and made headlines due to its horror theme and connection with Ajay Devgn and Madhavan’s Shaitaan.
However, Maa could not do much at the box office and also received backlash due to cheap VFX visuals and a boring story. Its visual effects were a major point of contention, and many found them unconvincing and detrimental to the immersive experience of a horror film.
That leaves us with the question whether Katrina made a good choice by making her comeback with such a movie.
Of course, mythological genres have worked well in the earlier years, with Stree and Munjya being the biggest examples. However, the same cannot be said about the Maa universe. Katrina has done some big budget movies earlier, that too with actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
Maa was a poor, terrible, and atrocious film for many. Now, it is up to the audience to see if they will love her acting, including the story in Maa’s sequel.
