With just three weeks to go for Housefull 5—Bollywood’s most star-studded comedy franchise—fans are getting restless about the lack of promotions and new content.

The film with an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa and more is releasing on June 6, 2025. But the promotions seem to be stuck in neutral.

The frustration is visible on social media. The teaser was out over a month ago and while it generated initial excitement especially with the chartbuster “Laal Pari” song. But since then, the buzz has died down.

Fans and observers are wondering why assets were released so early and not followed up with sustained promotion, especially when the film has 17 big stars who could have been taken for city tours, interviews and reality show appearances.

The silence is even more baffling given the scale of the film and the fact that aggressive multi-city promotions work in Bollywood. Recent industry disruptions—like other big films getting postponed due to geopolitical tensions—may have contributed to the delay.

But with the situation now stabilised and other films stepping up their campaigns, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s inaction is inexcusable. The lack of city tours, group interviews and digital engagement is a missed opportunity to cash in on the film’s star cast and the goodwill of its loyal fanbase.

If the studio doesn’t act fast to revive the momentum with new songs, theatrical trailer and on-ground promotions, Housefull 5 will squander its box office potential. In today’s crowded market even, the biggest franchises can’t take audience for granted.
