Ranveer Singh’s look from his upcoming film Pralay has leaked online, and the actor’s new rugged avatar is already getting fans talking. The leaked photos and videos from the sets show the actor sporting a thick beard and long hair. The look has naturally reminded many fans of his intense appearance in Dhurandhar.
But Pralay appears to be taking Ranveer into a completely different world. The actor is reportedly playing a character in a survival drama set in Mumbai, against the backdrop of a world crisis. In one of the leaked videos, Ranveer can reportedly be seen walking alongside other actors while carrying a child on his back.
While the makers have kept most details about Pralay tightly under wraps, the leaked visuals have offered the first glimpse of Ranveer’s character and the film’s gritty atmosphere. Directed by Jai Mehta, the survival spectacle is said to follow characters struggling to survive as Mumbai faces a catastrophic situation.
Interestingly, Ranveer is also one of the producers of the film. Pralay is being jointly produced by Birla Studios, True Story Films and Maa Kasam Films and will also mark Ranveer’s collaboration with Malayalam actor Kalyani Priyadarshan.
From Dhurandhar to Pralay, Ranveer seems to be embracing a darker, rougher and more physically intense screen image. The question now is: is Ranveer Singh’s rugged era officially here to stay?
