What could shock many is the huge opening that Pushpa 2: The Rule has achieved-which entirely is because of Allu Arjun’s star power.

Of course, the North Indian audience has responded very positively to the film with all the lousy songs, ads, and storylines as they can easily connect with the role of Pushpa being an underdog.

With a worldwide gross of ₹245-260 crore, the Hindi version is ahead of Jawan’s opening day record of ₹65 crore with ₹67-68 crore. Such figures clearly show the strength of Allu Arjun and the popularity of the series.

The storyline itself is weak, although Allu Arjun’s film makes a decent attempt; yet, the plot works quite poorly for it, in the entire movie piece as it simply makes sense for the star and no merit towards the directing or to its narrative.

The rebellious and sympathetic image of Pushpa is still very popular among audiences in the North. The connect overshadows the shortcomings of the film, showing that relatable characters may win over subpar narrative.

The only things that the movie works with are the performance of Allu Arjun and a few hard-hitting action sequences. This succeeds in the short term but risks future success because there is a lack of a good plot.
