But now Ibrahim has spoken up and told us what really happened that night. Ibrahim Ali Khan in a recent interview clarified the air. He said his father wasn’t carried or rushed in.

“I want to tell those who are saying I took him to the hospital—he walked in on his own,” Ibrahim said.

“He went inside, had a knife piece still stuck and told them ‘I need help.’” That simple statement shows how serious the situation was—and how calm Saif was through it all.

The incident happened at Saif’s home in Bandra, Mumbai. A man broke in and stabbed him six times. One of the stab wounds was near his spine.

Despite all this Saif managed to walk to Lilavati Hospital himself. The attacker was caught and identified as a Bangladeshi national named Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad. He’s in custody but has challenged his arrest in court.

Ibrahim also shared a personal moment that left a mark on him. After surgery Saif told him, “If you were there, you would’ve beaten that guy up.” That one sentence hit Ibrahim hard.

“That’s when I broke down,” he said. It wasn’t just a line—it showed how strong Saif was even after something so terrifying.

Ibrahim’s comments weren’t just to correct facts. They reminded us that behind all the headlines there are real emotions and real families.

Rumors spread fast but the truth takes a little longer. And in this case the truth shows how brave Saif was and how much his family stood by him.

Saif is recovering well. He’s back to work, shooting big projects like Race 4. The attacker’s case is still in court but for Saif and his family the worst is over.
