Salman Khan’s next film, Battle of Galwan, has officially started shooting in Ladakh. The actor is moving ahead with this project after the setback from his much-hyped release Sikandar. Backed by his home banner Salman Khan Films and directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the movie will narrate the story of the Battle of Galwan.
Apoorva Lakhia, who last gained attention with Shootout at Lokhandwala in 2007, has struggled to deliver hits since then. However, teaming up with Salman is expected to revive his prospects and give him a chance at a big comeback.
The buzz among Salman’s fans, though, is not at its peak. Many believe his stardom has faded after a series of flops. They recall that even a celebrated filmmaker like A.R. Murugadoss could not bring him back on track, raising doubts about Lakhia’s chances.
Critics online point to Salman’s casual approach and lack of commitment as the reasons for his declining graph. His loyal fans, however, defend him by saying that he is undergoing extensive preparation for Battle of Galwan.
Filming has now begun in the scenic Ladakh valley. While the excitement is subdued, fans still hold out hope. If the script, direction, performances, and music strike the right chord, this film could finally mark Salman Khan’s redemption.
