Sanam Teri Kasam has been re-released in theatres this Friday and it has received a lot of love from the audiences. The collections have been record-breaking, specifically for a film that has been reissued in theatres after almost nine years.
In between all these, an incident in Ratlam is now getting a lot of attention on social media. Reports have claimed that rumors were spread in the town that Gayatri Cinemas was showing Sanam Teri Kasam 2 and people turned up in large numbers at the theatre.

However, the public became angry when they witnessed that the old film was being played on the screen and vented out their anger at the theatre owner. The owner told them that he should not be blamed since he did not spread the rumor about a sequel.
The audiences eventually returned to their home and while they later discovered that the film had been re-released, the occupancy of the remaining shows was not up to the mark. Notably, the incident happened since the makers announced a sequel last year which is yet to enter production.

Released back in 2016, Sanam Teri Kasam was originally a box office flop. However, it became a cult classic over the years for its story, performances, and the ending that left many people emotional. Many people even watched it various times on satellite channels and OTT.
The first-day reports have been outstanding, with shows throughout India witnessing a huge occupancy. This is another major achievement for a re-released film after similar numbers were recorded by Tumbbad last year.

On the other hand, a few sources have claimed that there have been corporate bookings in a few places. The allegations are shocking and unacceptable considering that it is not a new film.
Despite all these, the re-release is pulling audiences to the theatres and the closing number will decide if it has been highly successful.
