Former Indian actress and playback singer Vijayta Pandit has recently called on Shah Rukh Khan to help her son Avitesh Shrivastava in his career. In a recent interview with Lehren Retro, Vijayta reminded SRK about his friendship with her husband, Aadesh Shrivastava, the late music composer.

Aadesh had passed away in 2015, after a long battle with cancer. Vijayta revealed that SRK used to frequently visit her husband in the hospital, until a day before his death, which was his 51st birthday as well. It was during one of those visits, when Aadesh, who could not even speak by that time, had pointed to his son, appealing to the superstar to look after his son after he was gone.
Vijayta went on to say that she has since tried the number SRK gave them several times but to no avail. The number does not work, and hence they have been unable to reach the superstar for any kind of assistance, as was promised.

In the interview, she said that despite her son being very talented, and having worked with big names like Akon and French Montana, was still struggling to find his footing in Bollywood. She reminded SRK of the promise he made to her husband and requested him to honour that promise.
She also emphasized the fact that her brothers Jatin and Lalit have had a significant role to play in SRK’s rise to stardom, further saying that SRK should make a film with her son under his production banner, Red Chillies Entertainment so that his talent gets the much-needed push in the right direction.
