The Bollywood box office has been agonisingly quiet of late with not a single film clicking big time. After Fighter which released in January, not a single Hindi film fared excellently at the box office.

However, the long wait is coming to an end now with the arrival of Stree 2 which has Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao in the lead roles. This is a sequel to 2018 film Stree which was a good hit at the box office.
Stree 2 is faring so well at the box office with its advance sales that it is on course for a Rs 50+ crore opening at the box office.

The advance sales in plexes is better than recent Bollywood biggies like Gadar 2, Dunki, Bramhastra, Fighter and others.
A film with no superstar value gaining so much momentum is a positive development for Bollywood which has been reeling under extreme pressure of late.

A good trailer, Shraddha’s glamour quotient in the newly released song have worked in favor of the film, adding to the sequel hype which has been surprisingly good, say analysts.
At this rate, Stree 2 could easily be a Rs 200+ crore grosser at the box office which is pretty much the need of the hour for Hindi cinema as it has been a Herculean task to bring audiences to theaters.
