Stree 2 has been one of the most awaited films in the lineup of upcoming projects this year. The makers even opted for a unique way to ensure the film’s success by organizing paid previews a day before the original release on August 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, one question would surely come up in everyone’s minds. Is the sequel better than the first part? Does Stree 2 fulfill the expectations of the audience? Is Stree 2 funnier than Stree? Well, the answer is – yes.
The horror comedy continues after the events of the first part, bringing a new adventure for all the fans of the Maddock Supernatural Universe. We get a new monster this time instead of the woman who takes away the men of Chanderi. The only change in Stree 2 is gender reversal, where women are missing.

But that’s not the end since several other things make this ride entertaining. It includes two cameo appearances that add more flavors to this dish. On top of that, there is also a scary backstory of the monster that would make this film enjoyable.
Stree 2 works specifically because of the jump-scary moments alongside the performances of the lead cast. There is enough comedy to make you laugh out loud in multiple portions. Apart from this, the director brings back the original characters from the first film, which means you would not miss the fun that was thoroughly available in Stree.

Rajkummar Rao proves his versatility once again as he returns to save Chanderi. The second person to take away the spotlight is Abhishek Banerjee, who gets the best dialogues. Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana also don’t disappoint.
Shraddha Kapoor would impress with her beauty, smile, cuteness, and simplicity. Tamannaah Bhatia’s glamorous appearance is also a different kind of treat for the audience.
The mid-credits scene leaves a hint for the next installment in this franchise. Although the runtime is 20 minutes longer than Stree, there are enough ingredients in the screenplay that won’t let you leave your seat until the climax. Music is another plus point and as we have seen earlier, the tracks are already trending on different platforms.
