It seems like Bollywood is falling short of new ideas. A new announcement has been making rounds on social media where the release date of a new film, featuring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, has been finalized, which is February 7, 2025.
Although the official title was not disclosed, it will be a remake of the Tamil romantic comedy, Love Today. Phantom Studios has collaborated with AGS Entertainment to produce the film, which will be helmed by Advait Chandan.

There is no doubt about the fact the makers are taking a risk by opting for a remake when the Hindi film industry is trying to learn a lesson from its failures. But even if we ignore the same, the writer and director would have a tough time recreating the magic of the original. This is evident since Bollywood is falling short of people who can bring a flawless script.
On the other hand, the casting choices could bring more trouble. Although Junaid is Aamir Khan’s son, his performance hardly made any impact on Maharaj. The same can be said for Khushi whose debut in Archies was not well-received.

Junaid needs to be careful while selecting a script considering that his father’s last film, also a remake, turned out to be a flop. His fans also believe the same with some of them claiming that he is not living up to Aamir’s legacy, who has gained recognition over the years as Mr. Perfectionist.
Meanwhile, we cannot speculate anything on if the upcoming film will live up to the standards of the original. The trailers and other promotional material will decide its fate as soon as the release date approaches.
