A legal dispute related to Shah Rukh Khan’s residence Mannat has finally ended. This is related to the renovation of the property, where the Supreme Court rejected a petition that challenged the Coastal Regulation Zone clearance needed for the work to continue.
After the court’s verdict, SRK is now allowed to add two more floors to the property. Notably, an appeal was initially filed by activist Santosh Daundkar, who addressed the irregularities in the approval from the MCZMA for the renovation and expansion of SRK’s house.
The bench later expressed doubts about the truth behind the petition. The case was linked to a September 2025 order of the NGT’s Pune bench, which had put the CRZ clearance on hold, issued by MCZMA, and rejected the problems being raised by Daundkar.
In the latest hearing, a bench including Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi, and Justice V Mohana refused to interfere with an order of the NGT, also called the National Green Tribunal.
The reaction of the public on social media was a little different. Most of them alleged that SRK’s legal team has undoubtedly used their power to silence the voice of a common man. The same people claimed that the activist might be right about the claims that he was making.
On the other hand, SRK’s fans defended him by saying that the activist was trying to get some attention by using the name of the superstar. They stated that there are many other people aiming to do the same thing, and they have frequently continued to use the worst methods possible.
While the legal matter has ended now, it remains to be seen if the activist will respond differently this time or if he will prefer to step back and focus on his work.
