Siddhant Chaturvedi’s previous roles have been youthful and modern, not the intense characters that Jha’s films are known for.

Prakash Jha has always been about unconventional casting. He may see potential in Chaturvedi’s emotional depth and modernness which can bring a new perspective to the political drama.
Despite not being the obvious choice, Jha might think he can get a different take out of the character.
Not a perfect fit for a political drama now but this could be a turning point for him. If he can get into the skin of the genre he might just surprise us and prove himself. Time will tell if he can do it.
