Akshay Kumar has recently announced the release of the Telugu version of Kesari Chapter 2 on his official social media handle.
He shared a poster of the same, revealing that the Telugu version would arrive on May 23, 2025.

Originally released on April 18, 2025, the film failed to make a big impact at the box office despite getting a positive response from critics and audiences.
The film has eventually emerged as a box office bomb as it failed to recover its budget.

Considering that the film’s fate is already out in front of everyone, it is undoubtedly a wrong decision for the makers to release the Telugu version after five weeks.
There was a potential to do some business in Telugu if it arrived in the first week.

The release of a Telugu version will need dubbing, which will require a lot of money.
Moreover, people have already seen the film in a high-quality print that was released online. So, there is no logic to release the Telugu version right now.
Akshay’s next big release is Housefull 5, which is arriving next week. The upcoming comedy film will need a lot of promotion to emerge as a big hit at the box office.
It has been made on a budget of Rs. 375 crores, which means that recovery has to be more than Rs. 500 crores.
It will be wrong for Akshay to focus on the promotion of two films because this will dilute the potential of Housefull 5, which is a part of a successful franchise.
People have huge expectations from the film as Akshay is returning in a comedy film after a long time.
Moreover, the success rate of Kesari Chapter 2’s Telugu version is very low for now, as many South films are also releasing in the upcoming weeks, and two Hollywood films are arriving this week.
