During the conversation, she recalled events from the shooting of Dayavan, which was released in 1988. The discussion centred on a much-debated kissing scene featuring Vinod Khanna and Madhuri Dixit.
According to Simi Chandoke, Madhuri Dixit was very young at the time, while Vinod Khanna was significantly older. She described the scene as highly intimate and claimed that it went beyond what was originally expected during filming.
Simi alleged that Vinod Khanna continued kissing Madhuri Dixit even after the director called for the shot to end. She further claimed that the sequence continued longer than intended and that Madhuri suffered an injury to her lip during the filming of the scene.

At the same time, several people criticised the decision to discuss allegations involving a person who is no longer alive to respond. Some commentators argued that revisiting the issue could affect the public image of both Vinod Khanna and Madhuri Dixit.
