Affleck’s Solo Batman Film Scrapped! Reveals Crew

Solo Batman Film ScrappedIn the history of Batman on the big and small screens, very few have done the job as effortlessly as Ben Affleck. Now, if you are a fan of him as The Dark Knight, this news cannot be any worse. A source reported that the studio deprived us of a solo Batman venture by Ben Affleck.

Affleck wasted no time gaining popularity among fans with his appearance in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and later played a crucial role in Justice League. Ben portrayed a more experienced and scarred version of Batman and practically nailed the role. Imagine how phenomenal his performance would have been in a solo movie?

Jay Oliva, an artist who previously worked on the reportedly shelved film, shared his insights. In his exact words, the movie was “fucking awesome.” Oliva had some talks regarding the script and he was overwhelmed with nothing but praises.

Jay added that when he became a part of the team, he was shown the second or third draft overall. Talking about the script, Jay noted that he had probably never encountered anything like Affleck’s story.

“Ben’s story was gonna cover something that had never really been covered in comics but was building off of storylines in the Batman mythos over the last 80 years and approaching it from a new kind of perspective,” said Oliva.

Now, Affleck stepped away from the project for personal reasons, but we still got a Batman solo movie. Matt Reeves stepped in and gave us a Robert Pattinson gem, and from social media to critics, they loved it. So overall, we got what we wanted, but an Affleck movie would have done a better job for the main DCEU timeline.
