The Hindi Cinema Industry, also known as Bollywood, is slowly losing its glory. People are not only tired of the monotonous content being produced but also frustrated with their voices not being heard. As a result, they find solace in Hollywood and the Southern film industry, where the stats show a significant shift in popularity.
During the June quarter, Bollywood had a slow start with limited releases. In contrast, Hollywood experienced a surge in releases, leading to a 30 percent increase in revenue from operations, reaching Rs 1,305 crore.
In May, there were notable releases. “The Kerala Story” had an impressive run, “Fast X” performed decently, and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” was well-received.
Although the company reported losses for both quarters, the second quarter’s loss was significantly less than the first one. They declared a loss of 81.6 crores, which is far lower than the 333 crores from the previous quarter.
The global box office was dominated by movies like “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer,” which also revitalized the theatre culture in India. PVR Inox, with 1702 screens across various parts of India, optimized the movie craze and provided movie lovers with a stunning cinematic experience.
