Tamil Nadu has found an extremely dynamic and aggressive chief minister in the form of Thalapathy Vijay. He was remarkably successful with his very first election campaign in Tamil Nadu and the decision-making after that has also been pretty solid.
Vijay has been operating as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu for barely three months, and he is already doing so many new things.
Now the chief minister is preparing for a reshuffle of the cabinet as he’s reportedly showing the exit doors to 4 cabinet ministers already in the first three months itself.
CM Vijay is expected to undertake his first Cabinet reshuffle after the Budget session, with at least four ministers likely to be dropped based on a performance review.
Higher Education Minister P Viswanathan, Transport Minister A Vijay Tamilan Parthiban, Social Welfare Minister K Jagadeswari and Human Resources Management Minister D Sarathkumar are reportedly among those expected to be fired.
Fact that Vijay had been operating as the CM for barely three months and he is already courageous enough to fire for Cabinet minister is very peculiar.
Generally, chief ministers are extremely sensitive to such situations as they fear possible backlash, and change in equilibrium. But Vijay appears to be least bothered about the political equation as he is operating mainly based out of performance and public feedback.
