This Sankranthi is going to see one of the iconic star wars because three big films had announced their releases from 13th to 15th January, to bank on one of the biggest festival seasons of a year. The fight looks more interesting because two of Nandamuri scions ‘films, ‘Nannaku Prematho’ and ‘Dictator’ are going to come with such less gap.

Both of them are big budget films and Nag’s ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ will arrive a day later. So a lot is at stake this Sankranthi season. Even before this big fight, on the onset of the new year, we are going to see two new releases. Ram’s ‘Nenu Shailaja’and ‘Abbaayitho Ammaayi’. RGV’s ‘Killing Veerappan’ postponed in the last hour.
That means within a gap of 15 days, from 1st January to 15th, altogether Rs.150 crores is at stake for Telugu Film Industry. Trade pandits wish that the new year begins nice for Telugu films. Here is a two-tier fight, i.e., at the beginning of the year and during Sankranthi. This fight is a different one. More the winners, more people will be happy and the industry will flourish. It will be a win-win situation.
