Many of the moviegoers might not be aware of the fact that the creator of ‘Kiliki’ language for ‘Baahubali’, Madan Karky has six Rs.100 crore films to his credit.Stupendous! Many things like what? Like… writing lyrics for songs, a linguist, writes dialogues, writes novels and he is also an expert in robotics. As a linguist, he created a new language for ‘Baahubali’ and named it ‘Kiliki’ and also wrote dialogues for Tamil version of the epic drama. That’s incredible indeed! But ‘Baahubali’ landed him in trouble.
He landed in controversy for use of one word in Tamil ‘Pagadai’ which actually denotes a sub-caste of a dalit community. When Madan Karky made the hero use the word ‘Pagadai’ in one of the dialogues, little did he know that the word has any caste connections. In the context chosen, the word has a different meaning clarifies Madan. He is ready to remove the word from the film and end the controversy altogether.
