Venky Atluri, after the critically acclaimed success of Lucky Bhaskar has now directed a film starring Suriya in the lead titled Vishwanath & Sons, which is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in July.
In this scenario, now there is strong speculation that in 2023, Venky Atluri approached Bollywood actor Aamir Khan for a film reportedly involving a plot about a 44-year-old man who falls in love with a much younger woman.
After hearing the script, Aamir Khan requested some time to decide and asked Venky Atluri to wait, as he also had the idea of doing a film based on a similar plot with the actress Zoya.
However, Venky Atluri chose not to wait and instead moved ahead with the script by casting Suriya as the lead. Later, someone from Aamir’s team saw early footage of Vishwanath & Sons and informed the actor that the film had reportedly come out really well.
Consequently, Aamir Khan reached out to director Venky Atluri and is now curious about the project. Additionally, he even suggested remaking it in Hindi if he likes the final product. Therefore, there is a strong possibility for Vishwanath & Sons to be remade in Hindi with Aamir Khan playing the lead.
Even though this is just strong social media speculation and there are still no official updates, many people are now criticizing Aamir Khan, claiming that he always wastes his own time and the time of other directors by waiting so long to commit to a film.
They suggest there is a huge opportunity for Aamir Khan to become a solid pan-Indian actor by working with talented South Indian directors, but he is wasting his potential by taking too much time to finalize projects.
At the same time, some Aamir Khan fans are claiming this is a baseless rumor. They suggest that everyone knows he always takes time to finalize a project and if the results are films like Lagaan, Dangal, and PK, no one has the right to complain. They argue this speculation looks like a PR campaign intended to tarnish his image among audiences.
Ultimately, this speculation about Aamir Khan losing the chance to work with Venky Atluri on the Vishwanath & Sons script is now going viral on social media and many people are sharing their responses to it.
