When we go for a dance movie, do we go for only watching high-up energy dance performances or do we also look out for a gripping story to be told through the medium of dance? It’s definitely the later an audience looks out for when he is watching a dance movie as dance is considered as one of the most effective ways of conveying emotion.

That’s what audiences expected from ‘ABCD 2’ directed by ace choreographer turned director Remo D’Souza having on board terrific dancers like Prabhu Deva and an entire ensemble of talented youngsters. Here he fails to express and hence fails to impress. Audiences didn’t surely want to see continuous mind-blowing dance performances for 2 hrs 35 mins.
According to the response on the film, ‘ABCD 2’, failed to create emotional connect with the present day audiences because of its 1980’s kind of loud narration and dialogues playing spoil sport besides predictable narration. The film might be great in cool choregraphy but makes one wonder if dance-based films are usually unbearable?
