The entertainment industry has suffered another heartbreaking loss. Young actress and model Ananya Raj has passed away at the age of 27. According to a statement shared by her family through her official Instagram account, Ananya died peacefully in her sleep on July 15. The news was revealed only recently, leaving her fans and colleagues shocked.
Her family said that Ananya had been dealing with physical and mental health struggles for nearly a year. They said she fought her problems with great courage but sadly could not overcome them. The family has also requested the media and fans to respect their privacy during this difficult time.
Ananya began her career as a model. She appeared in advertisements for several major brands, including Lakme, Lux, Samsung, Coca-Cola, Jabong, Uber and Amazon. She later entered films and worked in both Bollywood and Telugu cinema.
She made her acting debut in RGV’s Satya 2, where she was credited as Aaradhana Gupta. She later appeared in Hindi films such as 7 Hours To Go, The Final Exit and Ghost. In Telugu, she gained recognition with the suspense thriller Thaggede Le, starring Naveen Chandra and Divya Pillai.
Ananya also explored other creative fields. She appeared in music videos and later ventured into filmmaking. She directed the music album Ghalib under the Lilibet Pictures banner.
She had built a following among younger audiences through her modelling and glamorous screen appearances. Despite being only 27, she had already created a distinct identity in the modelling and film industries.
