There has been a flurry of new releases over the weekend, among them one film is standing out. It is none other than Tamil star Vijay’s delayed dubbed release, Adirindi.

The openings and next day aren’t huge. It is big enough to keep it ahead of the rest of releases like C/O Surya, Okkadu Migiladu, and Detective. The opening day is the biggest, and the full run is most likely to be highest among Vijay films depending on the rest of the week.
C/O Surya and Detective were second and third best openers. Okkadu Migiladu was a nonstarter, to begin with, and it will close its run by first weekend itself. While this is the story of the films in the Telugu states, the US is far worse with no film managing decent numbers.
