Ram Charan and Sukumar’s second collaboration, tentatively titled RC 17, is already creating curiosity with its first promotional update. After a grand launch ceremony in Hyderabad, the makers have released a pre-look poster featuring a stylised portrait of Ram Charan.
Painted in shades of blue, green and gold, the artwork has a striking peacock-feather-like appearance. The team has also added an intriguing caption: You Can Imagine, but beyond everyone’s expectations. The poster has triggered speculation about the film’s theme, but the makers are keeping the actual details under wraps.
Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings and T-Series Films are jointly backing the project. Ratnavelu is handling cinematography, while Anirudh is composing the music. Ram Charan is also expected to sport a completely new look in the film, with shooting likely to begin by the end of this year.
However, one major question remains unanswered: Who is the female lead?
Several names have surfaced in media reports, including Sara Arjun, Aneet Padda, Bhagyashri Borse and Preity Mukundhan. More recently, Satvika Veeravalli, who is part of Dulquer Salmaan’s Akasamlo Oka Tara, was also reported to be a possible choice.
Fans expected the makers to reveal the heroine at the launch event, but no announcement came. None of the names doing the rounds has been officially confirmed so far.
The pre-look has raised curiosity about the film, but the casting mystery continues. For now, Ram Charan and Sukumar remain the only confirmed faces of RC 17.
