“Newsense” is a recently released Telugu web series on the Aha OTT platform. It stars Navdeep and Bindu Madhavi in the lead roles and is written and directed by Sri Prawin Kumar. Produced by People Media Factory and Aha, the series promises to offer some exciting content for OTT lovers.
Starring Navadeep and Bindu Madhavi, Newsense tries to expose how the news channels’ greed for TRPS can be the biggest obstacle to morality and the frightening consequences if you believe what you see. The series also depicts how journalists publish fake stories for the sake of politicians and how the results affect the public in a shocking way.
The series starts off slow and takes time to establish characters but picks up pace in later parts. Issues like the land mafia, caste discrimination, smuggling, and mysterious murders are tackled decently. It hooks and books the viewers, but only in parts. The ending also isn’t too exciting and makes little sense, as the makers want it to extend to the second season.
Navadeep and Bindu Madhavi are sincere in their roles, but other performances are decent.
The series is grabbing good eyeballs on Aha though the response is mixed. Overall, it is a decent watch for the OTT audience who love to binge content at home.
