Allu Arjun has once again become the talk of social media, but this time for a complete meme moment.
During the inauguration of AAA Cinemas in Vizag on Sunday, Allu Arjun was photographed standing in front of a bronze statue of himself and offering a respectful namaste.
Yes, you read that right. Allu Arjun was standing and greeting Allu Arjun. The statue features his iconic Pushpa Raj look, complete with sunglasses, a beard, and the famous Thaggede Le pose. Naturally, the internet did what it does best: turned the whole thing into meme material.
One Telugu comment quickly went viral: “Em chesthunnav bhAAi?” Honestly, fair question.
The picture also reminded many fans of Rajinikanth’s famous scene from Sivaji: The Boss, where the Superstar has a larger-than-life interaction involving his own statue. But while Rajinikanth’s moment had full mass elevation, Allu Arjun’s picture somehow has a much funnier vibe.
At this point, the only thing missing is the bronze Pushpa turning around and asking the real Pushpa for a selfie.
Allu Arjun is often accused by social media users of promoting himself more than anyone else, and this particular moment certainly won’t help that perception. Forget self-promotion. This is almost self-worship.
But to be fair, the statue is based on one of his most iconic characters. Pushpa played a huge role in taking Allu Arjun’s popularity beyond the Telugu states and turning him into a pan-India star. So, if anyone has earned the right to greet his own statue, perhaps it is him.
Still, the visual is undeniably hilarious.
When your fictional character becomes important enough to get a bronze statue, the correct response is apparently not shock, but namaste. Pushpa Raj has blessed the real Pushpa.
